Message: A bonus room. A home office. A “do-whatever-you-need-it-to” room.
Call it what you want — buyers want it!
Not because it photographs well (though it does).
Because life keeps changing, and they want a home that can change with it.
A few ways I see people using flex space right now:
-Home office without sacrificing a bedroom
-Kids’ hangout or homework zone
-Workout/yoga/peloton corner
-Guest-room-when-you-need-it
-Hobby room, craft room, gaming room
-Storage that doesn’t take over the rest of the house
And here’s a pro-tip that I usually only share with my clients: when your home is for sale, it’s best to stage your bonus room with one clearly defined purpose so your home feels streamlined and intentional, not cluttered.
