Did You Know? The t-shirt was originally only used under other clothing until the 1950s when Marlon Brando wore a white t-shirt in A Streetcar Named Desire, followed by James Dean in 1955’s Rebel Without a Cause. Shortly after, the popularity of the t-shirt as a stand-alone outerwear garment skyrocketed.
