Social Media Calendar for PorchLight Agents

Social media is an easy thing not to prioritize. As a busy agent, maybe you forget about it, you never enjoyed it for your personal life, or you just haven’t had time to sit down and figure it out. That’s understandable, but now—more than ever—is the time to make it a bigger priority.

With social traffic skyrocketing due to social distancing and COVID-19 regulations, we wanted to provide you with an easy-to-follow weekly social media strategy. Below you’ll find suggested posts for each day of the week that consist of your text, the link or photo to post, and a few tips.

This will be a weekly feature moving forward where we’ll continue to provide you content and build on your social strategy. For now, we’ll focus on Facebook, but we’ll dive into other platforms as we go.

Here are instructions on how to post the suggested content:
  • Copy and paste the text into your status bar on Facebook via desktop or the app. If there’s text in red, a photo should appear below what you just pasted.
  • Scroll to the top of what you just posted and remove the link—what’s in red here. You can check that the actual link remained active by making sure the photo that appeared is still there.
  • If something in the suggested post below doesn’t quite feel like you, feel free to change it! These are suggested posts and verbiage to help make your life easier, you’re welcome to make edits to show your personality.
  • Click “post”—that’s it!

Pro-tip: If you have a Facebook Business page, you have the ability to schedule out posts in advance so you can sit down and queue all of this up for the week rather than manually posting it each day. Here are instructions on how to do this! We can’t tell you when the best time to post for your page is without seeing your page insights, but for our PorchLight page it’s 9am or 7pm!

Facts Not Fear graphic that links to COVID-19 Market Impact
I know there are a lot of unknowns out there, but here’s what I do know—real estate is still moving. Check out these numbers and bit.ly/pldenverimpact (use bit.ly/plboulderimpact for Boulder-specific information) with even more information about the short- and long-term positive indicators for our metro market.

With real estate included among essential businesses in both Boulder and Denver’s recent restrictions, it might actually be the ideal time to make that move you’ve been planning! If you want to see what the market looks like, let me know. Whether through virtual tours, or personal showings (practicing proper social distancing and sanitation), I can keep your search moving without compromising the health of your family and our community.

  • The link to your listing’s virtual tour to generate traffic (double-check that all information is up-to-date, contact your ASC to correct anything)

If you don’t have a listing (or space them out, one in the morning and one in the evening):

Pro-tip: Go the extra mile by making one of these cocktails. Post it in your comments and on your Instagram story (if you use Instagram) to further encourage participation.
